LOS ANGELES - After amiibo and Splatoon and Super Smash Bros. stole the show last year, this year feels like a waiting game ... but at least the Nintendo 3DS is a little love.

Nintendo seems to hold, only slightly. There were no new wild games this year, like the beginnings of Splatoon or Super Smash Bros. since last year, saw Star Fox and two games that we saw in the last year: Wooly World and Yoshi Mario Maker (yes, two pretty for Wii U) games. The remainder consisted mainly of new 3DS games ... many familiar faces.
There is a new variant of Animal Crossing, a new Fire Emblem, a multiplayer game Metroid, Zelda multiplayer RPG and Paper Mario, everything in its path between 2015 and beginning of 2016. Nintendo covered the basics ... but many games like Fallout. For a 3DS owner, it's nice to see this kind of support. However, these games are not exactly grab the stars.
Nintendo is forced to work in big, bold ideas. But perhaps these ideas for the Nintendo NX is recorded. The funds are probably diverted. 2015 feels like a transitional year at a time.
Then to keep the Nintendo Wii U and 3DS likely with the games. Nevertheless, some look as they make new emerging players coming on board. Games seem to keep existing owners and fans satisfied.
The Nintendo 3DS is the latest successful Nintendo console. Alive is important, much more: Nintendo 3DS just launched a new design in the past year. But if NX is a kind of sequel pocket or replacement, who must be almost certain is the 3DS and is threatened with extinction.
New batch of Nintendo 3DS go directly to the flame, but none of them are doing everything that we have not yet seen. If you were not interested in the 3DS before, you will not now. Nintendo in 2016 seems to be a good year for new ideas. 2015 ... not so much.
