It was once the favorite drink brave knights of King Arthur and medieval ladies.
But after centuries of being the poor relation of beer, wine and spirits Mead is finally making a comeback thanks to the fantasy drama Game of Thrones.
Viewers and readers were inspired to cool at the fair and novels and resorting to the oldest beverage in the world of medieval banquets.
In the United States, the American Mead Manufacturers Association said sales rose 42 percent last year, while sales of wine by just six percent.
